What's going on here? Slim trousers and Louis Vuitton, of course.

So there I was earlier today on a flight to St. John's, Newfoundland.

Onboad, I was rather stricken by two totally haute passengers who embarked during my Halifax connection.

On walked a slim blonde woman in a pair of True Religion jeans, toting a large Louis Vuitton carry-on with a good amount of patina on the leather. She made her way to the back of the plane and sat down.

Ahead of me sat a businessman in a pink shirt with a light white stripe. His suit trousers were of the slim fit, slightly short and oh-so-trendy variety.

I thought, What the hell is this? The fashion-runway puddle-jump from Halifax to St. John's?

I was also tired from too little sleep, so I considered that I was having a fashion hallucination.

Deplaning (I hate that word but is there a faster way to say that? Don't think so), I noticed another two style mavens milling around the baggage claim. What the hell?

But then, proving that the cosmos really isn't a random place, they all retrieved their luggage and convened together, walking out and chatting. They were all travelling together. Ha...so this isn't some sort of couture mecca that I'm unaware of.

But wait.

Then I saw another girl waiting for her bags, on the arm of some local kid all dressed to kill in D'Orsay pumps, tan bare legs and a killer cinched trench coat.
